Can't install Windows 7 SP1 on dual boot config

I have an Asus EeePC 1201N laptop running a dual-boot setup (using Chameleon) comprised of SL10.6.4 and Windows 7 Pro 32-bit... running successfully for some months now. (Many thanks to mosslack, meklort, et.al.; excellent work, folks.).

Here's the rub.. Windows 7 SP1 checks the boot partition before installation, and all it finds is a GPT partition. The SP1 installer is looking for an MBR partition and doesn't find it, so the installation terminates. :(

Ideas on how to get around the problem, anyone?
