Punter
After much mucking around trying to get hold of the Myzar hack I'm about to create a partition in windows for the mac os install. Just thinking aheasd tho; Will the fact that my hard disk is formatted in NTFS format be a problem? Also, could someone post a very straight forward guide to making a partition for this? I'm currently just running one ide hard drive with 2 partitions - one 15 gb, the other about 65. I do have another hard drive I could plug in if that is the best way (ie, having a completely fresh hard disk, either formatted fat32 or ntfs, for osx) Any help here would be great - also, I couldn't get the search function to work, I'm using a fairly fried version of firefox and it doesn't like some sites! Hope this hasn't been posted on too recently! cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25228-ntfs-and-mac-osx/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
One of the first things you must do during the installation is to use the Disk Utility found under Utilities to format (erase) your partition to the HFS+ format. So being NTFS shouldn't matter although better success has been when the partition is formatted as FAT.
