hey guys, i have a laptop here, which is an acer aspire 6930

i have installed osx 10.7 using iatkos v7

i read that the wifi card that was included with my laptop had no drivers yet, and hasn't for a while now

so i went out and bought a Gigabyte AirCruiser N300 GN-WS30N-RH because it contained a Ralink chipset which was said to work properly in OSx86

i finished installing it and got the drivers for windows and linux (which was natively)

i also got the drivers for mac and tried to install them

the install went fine but whenever i open the ralink utility it tells me not card detected

i opened system profiler and didn't see it anywhere there

i opened OSx86tools and i can see it listed under the pci cards

my question to you guys is how do i get this card working?

i've been reading on these forums for about 4 hours today and haven't had any luck

if anyone can help me, please do

Not sure if this would help, but in this link below:

As you can see, the guy in the second post claimed that he got it working natively as some type of AirPort Card under OSX. Oh and BTW do you mean 10.5.7? Because Lion isn't coming out until summer haha :thumbsup_anim: . Anyways, I'm not quite sure what he means when he says he added a Dell Antenna and worst of all, the thread was from almost what, 3 years ago? Perhaps you should try returning it and getting a USB stick of some sort. I myself am planning to get one as well for my Leopard, but don't know which one either.
