saaif88 Posted March 15, 2011 Share Posted March 15, 2011 hey guys, i have a laptop here, which is an acer aspire 6930 i have installed osx 10.7 using iatkos v7 i read that the wifi card that was included with my laptop had no drivers yet, and hasn't for a while now so i went out and bought a Gigabyte AirCruiser N300 GN-WS30N-RH because it contained a Ralink chipset which was said to work properly in OSx86 i finished installing it and got the drivers for windows and linux (which was natively) i also got the drivers for mac and tried to install them the install went fine but whenever i open the ralink utility it tells me not card detected i opened system profiler and didn't see it anywhere there i opened OSx86tools and i can see it listed under the pci cards my question to you guys is how do i get this card working? i've been reading on these forums for about 4 hours today and haven't had any luck if anyone can help me, please do Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/252208-wifi-card-problem/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

Oh and BTW do you mean 10.5.7? Because Lion isn't coming out until summer haha . Anyways, I'm not quite sure what he means when he says he added a Dell Antenna and worst of all, the thread was from almost what, 3 years ago? Perhaps you should try returning it and getting a USB stick of some sort. I myself am planning to get one as well for my Leopard, but don't know which one either.
