radink360
Well, im stumped. Ive done alot of searching online to try to get my GT 240 working in my OSX86 machine. Im running a Dell 755 (Core 2 Duo) with 4gb ram. I used #####, retail 10.6.3 disk, and #####. The network and sound worked out of the box, then ##### removed that. So I re-fixed those. My screen comes up fine but is stuck at 1280x800 with no other options. I have tried many suggestions (NVenabler, GraphicsEnabler=y, etc..) with no luck. I've read many posts with people having it work, and others not. So my question is, if this card does work and allows native resolution for my screen (1680x1050), then how? Im lost. pgb64
Hey radink360, This has worked every time in 10.6.3, all the way to 10.6.6. In windows use gpuz to dump your graphics bios to your desk top. rename it Nvidia.rom and place it on the root of your Mac HDD. My GTX 460 works with this setup. Remove all graphics injectors. Copy from S/L/E NVDANV50Hal.kext, NVDAGF100Hal.kext, NVDAResman.kext to your desktop. Place your device IDs in the Info.plist for these 3 kexts and use kext installer to put them back and fix permissions. Open OSX86Tools and select EFI strings, graphics. Make a manual string - your make, model, memory etc.. just follow the wizard. when done you have two window panes. The top one has the plist info, do not use. The bottom has the efi string. leave this window open. Now make a copy of your - com.apple.Boot.plist and keep it safe. make another copy to work on. ADD this to your plist, above the bottom </dict>, </plist>, this is and extension not a replacement. <key>PciRoot</key> <string>4</string> put your pciroot number here. Mine is 4 <key>UseNvidiaROM</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>copy and paste your EFI string here</string> </dict> </plist> Save and place back in you Extra folder. Repair permissions and reboot. Let me know if you have any questions, and if it worked for you.
