oldnapalm
The panic is because Intel HD kexts. N53JQ doesn't have Intel HD, only the nVidia.

oldnapalm
They are installed by the update. For what I have read, the nVidia card won't work even if you manage to install the update bypassing the Intel HD kernel panic. At least nobody got it working until now (AFAIK). SHMIDT911
It's written by a man with a video card 3100. A code for the HD. More has been written about it in this thread. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...amp;hl=GMA+5700 I do not approve. I found it and wrote it. artimess
Hi MaldOn I hope you could help me with this boot problem. You have already fixed my Asus G53SW dsdt. All works well as long as I boot first with leagcy ##### CD and then choose my disk. But when I boot directly it is stuck on apple screen, and if I use -v boot option after displaying verbose stop, screen goes dark and stays so. I think your N53JQ seems very similar to G53SW, I was wondering if you have any suggestion how to solve this problem. Thanks, Artimess

I am using a legacy kernel but cannot get the speed step and the rest of native functionality working. I think it is really the boot issue.
