ozmend
I finally got the iso (10.4.6 JaS) to install on vmware 5... everything went smooth until I had to reboot. During the install I had to have disk utility format the logical partition for me so I could instal osx. I used the journaled option. Now VMWare 5 wont open the virtual drive because the table has been changed from FAT32 to hfs+. So I tried installing Acronis disk director which sees the other partition but is labeled "unknown OS". I try to boot from it and it just says "error boot hfs+". I would love to run this natively but if I have to settle with VMWare then so be it. I followed the instructions exactly as posted here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=11314 THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE... I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR A DAMN WEEK!!!!!!!! also I have tried to install this natively but I kept getting a "waiting for root device" (that whole string is here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...092;.4\.6) message that couldnt be solved. This is being performed on an HP zv6130US laptop with an athlon64 3200+. If you can solve either of these problems then you are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks again Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25085-install-ok-but-cant-boot-into-osx/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
My understanding is that OSX should be installed on a primary partition, not a logical one.
