I have downloaded Apple.OS.X.x86.10.4.Generic.Install.DVD and burnt to DVD - i install it on my laptop and right near the end of the install the screen goes green and tells me to power off - when I reboot it goes most of the way through the reboot and turns green again - has anybody else had this problem with their HP nc6000 and if so what did they do to resolve this. I can now log in using Safemood - If I add the line Platform=x86pc -x at the Darwin prompt - my machine has an ATI 9600 card - would this explain the problems that I am having?
