Guest Mister HP
I own a HP G56 127nr notebook pc. I'm having trouble installing OS X. I used Kalyway, no boot, LeoHazard, no boot, and a thumb drive someone lent to me, os x doesn't boot install, either. My last resort is iATK OS, but people say wireless doesn't work, so I will edge toward that if someone gives me a kext for Broadcom 4401...please, which flavor? UPDATE: iATK OS doesn't work... cant install intel package and im running amd v140.. OK...used AMDay Custom Install and worked...sound, wireless, wired, doesn't work and im stuck at 1024x768x24! Nissin
Hey friend, I own the same computer as you. What I did was use iDeneb v1.4 (Leopard 10.5.6), when you're about to boot the DVD press f8 to enter startup options for the DVD. Use flags -f -x -v (that's what I used) and it'll boot fine for an install. For sound, I voodooHDA worked for me (gonna have to google around for that) For the ethernet (wired) internet, use Realtek R1000 driver (comes with iDeneb installations) Wireless just doesn't work, you'll have to purchase a 802.11 g/n adapter (with Realtek or Ralink chipset!!!) There's a kext for the onboard Radeon HD 4250, it's on this forum: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=190586 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/250578-hp-g56-127nr-amd-v140-install-problem-help/#findComment-1766366 Share on other sites
