Hi,

I'm currently running Snow Leopard 10.6.6 with VMWare Fusion on my AMD Athlon X2 4000+. The entire box runs great, except for VMWare Fusion. I've got it working and it has no problem running a Windows XP VM, but I'm running into an issue where in the middle of working (typing, processing) the VM stops. It just sits there and waits for about 5 seconds and then does everything I did while it was "stopped". It's not a terribly huge problem, but when you're in the middle of doing something it's REALLY annoying.

Has anyone else seen this problem, even with older OSes? I've already run Marvin's AMD Utility and patched the machine and VMWare Fusion multiple times.

Thanks!

Specs:

AMD Athlon X2 4000+

4 GB RAM

250 GB HD

nVidia GeForce 8600GT

Although I use VMware Fusion, I think it's bloated {censored}. It can halt, sometimes crashes (for me it happened 2-3 times in last two years) but I really think it has to do with you hackintosh configuration. Not sure how VMware Fusion works with Athlon since it's not made to work with it. Although the x86-64 which Intel uses has come from AMD, I'm pretty sure the root of your problems is in that.

Besides that, try repairng permissions, using onyx.
