Sp4der
Hi all, I have tried to install Mac OS X 10.6.3 on my netbook using this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=195180 (retail dvd w/ version 10.6.3, netbookinstaller) However, (step 10) I can't get it to boot up from the USB stick, it keeps saying that it can't patch the 64bit kernel oO I've tried a few different kernels, but none of them works This is what I get in Verbose Mode: Loaded HFS+ File: [system/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist] 479 bytes from 10239560. Loaded HFS+ File: [Extra/SystemVersion.LastPatched.plist] 479 bytes from 10239560. Loading Darwin 10.6 Loading Kernel legacy_kernel (or mach_kernel, depending on which one I use) Loaded HFS+ File: [legacy_kernel] 4096 bytes from 10239560. Loaded HFS+ File: [legacy_kernel] 7438930 bytes from 10239560. Patching kernel legacy_kernel Unable to patch 64-bit kernel. Please use arch=i386 to use 10.6.2 or newer kernel.Mach-0 file has bad magic number Memory allocation error (0x10552fd0, 0x73fc3c03) I have to say that I estimate my ssd to be not properly connected, but it should be possible to boot from USB, shouldn't it? (zif lock is missing, does anyone know where to get one?) My Hardware is the following: Acer Aspire One 110AW Model No. ZG5 Intel Atom N270 @ 1.6 GHz 512 mb RAM Intel GMA 950 Hard drive not recognized by BIOS BIOS version: I flashed it to 3310 (including renaming that .fd file), but it still says version v0.3114 in the BIOS Setup. Any help would be appreciated - Thanks in Advance!
Sp4der
Well, I retried the Install following this guide: http://basshead.wordpress.com/2010/04/04/s...-one-aoa150zg5/ And apparently I got a step further (Apple Logo, booting up right now) In particular I reinstalled Chameleon 2.0 RC4 onto my Bootable Stick (plus adding bootlist/SMBIOS/kexts as described in the guide above), which fixed my problem..
