cheesecaked Posted February 23, 2011 Share Posted February 23, 2011 hi im new to the forum i installed OSX on my acer aspire one aoa150 with a usb drive made from a snow leopard upgrade disc and patched with netbookbootmaker 0.8.4 RC1 problem is, im using an external monitor because the screen is broken (only lights up with the backlight, displays just white) and when it boots up it gets to the apple logo with the spinning wheel and then my external monitor goes black. if i unplug it from the netbook and plug it back in it will display the starry background of the inital set up screen. does anyone have any ideas on how to get through the set up screen so i can change the primary display to the external monitor? any ideas would be much appreciated maybe boot into single user mode and change the default monitor via command line? im not sure how to boot into single user mode without a command key though... or if any boot commands would even work -edit- figured out how to get into single user mode... but no idea how to change the main display Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/248954-new-user-needs-help/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
