Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forums, and figured I'd start by posting a thread on some problems I'm having.

I've hackintoshed at least 8 computers in the passed, but none have given me as many problems as this one. My previous laptop, an old core duo t60, ran Mac OS perfect, all be a bit slow.

I have a 10.6.3 snow retail disk here, and installation goes fine. In fact, everything works so perfectly after 10.6.3 and ##### have been run-Audio works through VoodooHDA, display runs at least on 1024x768...

Once updating to 10.6.6, everything still works, but I don't have keyboard or mouse anymore. Yes, prior to rebooting I applied ##### again and rolled back the USB.

Even so, the 10.6.6 update combo seems to break chemeleon completely. I get this odd boot up screen which says "boot 0: boot 0: success" and that's it.

I proceeded to update 10.6.3 individually with delta updates. The odd thing is that 10.6.4 still works fine (I can update to it and even have the intel HD graphics driver working), but 10.6.5/10.6.6 are where the machine simply won't work right, both because of this weird boot-up message and the keyboard not working. (It still, however, boots with #####).

Could someone please point me in the right direction? I've looked all over for some successful x201 install but have found nothing.

This laptop has:

a 160 GB HDD (western digital)

core i3-740M CPU clocked at 2.40 GHz.

Intel HD graphics built-in

conexcent hd AUDIO 20585

no dvd drive, but have an external one.

intel 5 series chipset

In windows, the keyboard is listed as a "standard ps/2 keyboard".

So I'm sure it's to do with ps/2 or something. The odd thing is that when I plug a USB keyboard in (which I configured prior to the update), that doesn't work either. All hard drives and flash drives, however, do work-so the USB has been rolled back fine.

Steps I tried:

-Backed up the extensions folder from the working 10.6.3 install. after update, restored folder. This fixed the problem for one reboot, I had keyboard-but after, it went away again.

-Removed the applePS2Controler kext.

-Tried VoodooPS2. No luck, in fact I couldn't boot up like that at all.

Thanks for all the help

All the best,

Tomi
