RamosDevil
I'm trying to get my GeForce FX 5200 256MB gfx card working fully in 10.6.6. I know it's not supported in Snow Leopard, but I figured I would give it a try. I tried Titan, but it wasn't working, so I began following the steps in this tutorial, beginning from step 2 (since my card was already recognized - just without proper resolution and QE/CI): http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t=#entry1127252 I used the Nvidia Universal Installer and rebooted. My machine didn't boot, so I rebooted verbose mode and found that my boot was hanging after my card was recognized - no KP, just hangs. I rebooted using -x -v -f as boot flags, and I managed to get to the safe mode login screen. Now, my resolution is perfect, however, I can't log in. I put my password in, the screen flashes light blue, then black, then the login screen shows again. I think that if I could finish the rest of the aforementioned tutorial, it might work. Any ideas on how to get past the login screen loop? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/248823-safe-mode-cannot-log-in/ Share on other sites
