joescarborough
Has anyone gotten HDMI audio to work via an HD 5670 card? I finally figured out HDMI video (have to connect VGA or DVI, AND HDMI), but still cannot get audio via HDMI. I have the latest Voodoo HDA installed, but cannot seem to get audio through the HDMI port. Some posts seem to indicate that this will not work, but they are older, and there were also several posts I saw indicating that HDMI video wouldn't work, so... For now I am stuck with a two-cable solution: HDMI for video; headphone plug to stereo RCA for audio. I would love to drop this to the single HDMI cable. Thanks in advance. joescarborough
So, VoodooHDA 2.72 causes kernel panics, and 2.61 shows HDMI output, but no audio via HDMI. I'm guessing there is a simple DSDT edit, but I haven't really had any luck with editing the DSDT file so far. I can open it in DSDTE, but I never experience any changes when I modify the file.
