After being somewhat disappointed by Ubuntu, I'm trying to throw together a Snow Leopard HTPC / low power computing (web browsing, word processing, light programming, etc. as I have an energy hungry PC for heavier workloads) hackintosh with some parts I have already and was wondering what a good video card for such a purpose would be. Something low power, inexpensive, and ideally with HDMI output. I don't care much about audio over the HDMI, though. If it could drive two monitors it'd be ideal, although I could bend on the HDMI I suppose, since my HDTV can accept VGA. My understanding is that VGA can be run reasonably far without too severe a quality loss. Rather not use a splitter if I can avoid it, though, as separate outputs would be preferable (and my monitor is the wrong resolution).

Of course, I'd appreciate any other component suggestions in general if you have any. I've been looking at the Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2L for my motherboard, as it is compatible with a CPU and RAM I have already and seems reasonably hackintosh friendly.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Having trouble finding an HDMI card that isn't serious overkill. Since my TV can accept VGA, I guess I should bend on that end of things. The Sparkle 9500GT can do dual monitors, is fanless, and seems compatible. I could easily make do with the 9400, but I can't locate one cheaper than the 9500. I'll keep researching, though.
