No Sound Only In Certain Apps?

I've got a 400sc with ac97 sound working and sounding great -- However I've noticed I only get sound out of certain apps.

 

Itunes is fine, as is system sounds. AdiumX works well also.

 

The sound is a bit stuttery and cuts out really quickly at times (little pops) in Itunes, though in full stereo.

 

However, there's no sound in any of the web browsers (on AOL's "you've got mail" page for example no sound plays), and Quicktime videos, while they do play well, don't give out any sound either when played thru the Itunes music store in itunes (using the movie trailers link in quicktime).

 

I will add though, standalone Quicktime audio is fine. Just no audio from quicktimes that play via the Itunes music store (film trailers, so far).

 

Am I missing a simple setting change or is this a known issue?

 

Using the latest Maxxus patch btw.

I am also experiencing the same problem you describe. Only when I try to load a Quicktimes

video from the web, Itunes also kicks in and the video portion displays, but no audio.

 

Being new to the Apple OS I was not sure if I too was missing a setting in one of the programs.

 

I hope someone has a solution for this.
