realfolkbluesxv Posted February 20, 2011 Share Posted February 20, 2011 Hey Guys, I'm currently running 10.5.6 iPC on my HP DV7-4165dx, I have most things running short of audio, wireless and Ati Radeon mobility HD 4250(screen resolution works, but no QE/CI but thats ok). This post is specifically about my Audio AMD RS880 Chipset. I've tried applehda.kext and hdaenabler.kext as well as voodoohda.kext no luck, output is still blank. I deleted all the audio kexts i could find before and after each install, but still nothing. Any ideas or kext floating around so I can get some sound? Also has anyone gotten Atheros AR9285 working on 10.5.6? I see a lot of people got it mostly working on 10.6 but I can't get 10.6 installed for some reason. :/ Any help would be greatly appreciated.
