Hello there guys !

Well I have to say this Forum has helped me many many times during setup of my hackintosh, but now I came to a slight stop in the process of perfecting it...

I have the following system up and running :

AMD X2 5200+

Asus M3A78-CM

4GB RAM DDR 800

Gainward ATI HD4870 1GB (fully detected an working)

Mac OS 10.6.6 (all Apple Updates)

And, I have my Apple keyboard (wired) that i bought just yesterday...

Now the thing is, when I have the Keyboard plugged in, the System won't boot and freezes up.

(I'm going to provide a photo of the -v output here...)

But when I unplug the Keyboard, the system boots just fine, and when i plug it in to the running system, the Keyboard works just fine, in fact, I'm typing this post on it right now...

I can even play games like World of Warcraft or Garry's mod on my Hacky ...

It also seems that I am the only person on this planet who experiences this issue, because so far I have not been able to get an answer or a similar post out of google....

So, maybe you guys with your expertise can help me out on this one...?

Thank you so much in advance,

GraveDigger

P.S: I think i've tried every boot parameter there is ... -v, -f, -x, -s, the arch thing and so on ... Nothing worked ...

Okay, then let's say I used every Parameter that I have ever heard of... But anyway, thanks for the tip, I'll try and let you know.

I suspected a USB Problem but was not aware that there was such a boot parameter...

Are there maybe any kexts that I could use to fix it permanently ?

And I just noticed that after a while when my Computer or Display (Not sure which it was) goes to sleep and I wake it up, the finder crashes... I suppose i need a new SleepEnabler.kext for that as well ? But I'll try google / Forum search for that and see if I can find an old threat for this or something...

UPDATE : Okay, the boot flags "USBBusFix=Yes -v" gives the following output and comes to freeze ...

The only diffrence when I only give the USBFix flag is that it shows the screen of the bootloader, which is Chameleon 2.0 RC3 with PC EFI 10.5 by the way, without any text on it and then freezes.

And this is just with the "-v" agrument and plugged in Keyboard. Sometimes it doesnt even give me the last statement about USB an freezes at the S3 System state info... But I even had one or two times where it booted just fine....

Oh and I use the Legacy 10.6.6 Kernel...

Okay, I can NOT blieve this ...

Well, I tried by replacing the 10.6.6 kexts with the 10.6.4 kexts (IOUSBFamily.kext and IOMassStorageClass.kext) ...

But, since the Keyboard also crashed my Other 10.5 Mac OS installation, I wasn't so sure about that.

Then I remembered that I heard smth about Legacy USB support in BIOS causing Problems...

Well, I took a look at it and it said "auto", so I set it to "Disabled" and the keyboard actually WORKED and my Mac OS booted smoothly as usual...

But now I don't have USB Keyboard support during boot -.- So it remains the question : Is this the only way I get a smooth boot without having to plug / unplug my Apple Keyboard ? Or am I doomed to having a PS/2 Keyboard lying around at all times ?

Oh an btw, i just had my Motorola Milestone (better known as "Droid" in the USA) plugged in during boot, and guess what ? "Debugger called double panic" wow. love USB. (It said smth about an iTunesPhoneDriver which I think is the problem here, but honestly I don't really care about that since I like never have my Cellphone plugged in to the Computer...

Well, so far thanks a lot for the help, if anyone has an Idea on how to fix this thing, I would be very very thankful to hear it !

P.S: Problem solved. I just figured that my Windows any way boots from hin own HDD so I can just select it with the BIOS boot loader, cause the Keyboard works on that one just fine. Will just set the timeout and eveything will be fine. If I should ever need to give an extra Boot Flag I'll just plug a PS/2 keyboard.
