Justin6920G
I have been trying, with no success, to get the sound working on my 10.6.6 build. I have tried various VoodooHDA and Apple HDA kexts and installers and I havent had any luck. The closest I have gotten is VoodooHDA showing the sound slider but no device and I used Taruga's AppleHDA patcher which detected everything but I got a kernel panic on restart. I have attached the KP I got with the Taruga Patcher, I will attach the codec dump once I get home...apparently Dropbox didnt feel like syncing it when I tossed it in. Not sure what I am doing wrong, I realize most of the Kexts are for ICH10 chipsets which doesnt help for ATI chipsets. I have yet to apply any DSDT to the system since I am scared to death of it (I have yet to find anything that properly explains it). Any pointers would be appreciated.
