waqy
Hey guys, Im after a solution to my problem regarding my Lenovo T410 laptop, specs are: Intel Core i5 M560 2.66GHz Quad processor 4096 MB RAM I've managed to install SL Hazard 10.6.6i using the cpus=1 and busratio=20 flags which allows a successful installation. However upon first boot I cant seem to get into the system and by running the same aforementioned flags as well as -v I can see the startup process stops and hangs at AppleIntelCPUManagement. By searching through the forum and Google, I stumbled across a post that said to remove a certain kext (sleepenabler) which I did, as long as NullCPUmanagement existed, which it did in the Extensions folder. This however resulted in no improvement of the situation. Can anyone possibly help me or point me in the right direction? I've looked into DSDT patching etc but its all too confusing for me and Im not sure whether thats the solution. If I could boot into the OS then I could run the DSDT patching software... Thanks! Sam Nardoni
I have a HP G72-101SA, and I have exactly the same problem as you. I have deleted AppleSMC.kext (or something similar) and AppleIntelCPUManagement, but I am still in the exact same situation. I have tried several different configuration options on the installation, but they all hang at this point for me. Can anyone shed any light on this as to what might be causing it? Kernel? Graphics? Power management? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/247972-lenovo-t410-hazard-1066i-hanging/#findComment-1640019 Share on other sites
waqy
Sam, I've also tried a million different configs, different distros but still stuck at the same screen. Patience I guess is needed Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/247972-lenovo-t410-hazard-1066i-hanging/#findComment-1640022 Share on other sites
All Kand
No, not patience. Boot with the busratio and -s flag, then do this: cd /System/Library/Extensions (press enter/return key) rm -R AppleIntelHDGraphics* (press enter) exit That should get you into a resolution-sucks and acceleration-nil desktop Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/247972-lenovo-t410-hazard-1066i-hanging/#findComment-1802412 Share on other sites
