Inspiron 1525 iPC issue

Hi everyone. This is my first post on the forums but I've been reading around a lot for the past month or so.

My girlfriend can only really use OSX and her old iBook has recently kicked the bucket. We couldn't afford a macbook so I picked up an Inspiron 1525 with 4GB RAm and 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo for 150 quid on eBay, and set about trying to get OSX on it.

I'd tried Kalyway but I had the Essentials package problem, and the iAtkos I burnt just displayed a kernel panic. I saw a guide for iPC that looked simple enough and I managed to get it to install with the most basic of settings, but I haven't managed to boot it.

I started off with my current Windows 7 install, and used Parted Magic to create an 80GB HFS+ partition.

I then used iPC and got a successful install using a guide from another site. On restart the guide told me to remove the disc, which I did, but instead of booting into OSX it went straight into Windows. I did another reboot and tried to catch it before it went into it but it only gave me the option of booting into Windows 7.

I have a few machines and I have a machine that dualboots XP and Win7 and both drives show up. Is this problem because it has already determined to not listen to the HFS+ drive?

I'm pretty new to everything and I'd appreciate any help I can get.
