Dellmantt
IPC 10.5.6 Final is fine for your system. More than likely it is your DVD drive especially if you have a Small form factor or Ultra small ff with the laptop type dvd drive. Try cleaning the DVD laser. Alternatively use a USB DVD Drive or clone the Install Disc to a USB flash/hard drive. The GX520 SFF i had would not boot from any distro or retail install discs. The GX520 Desktop I have now has a full size drive (LG DL DVD RW) and is no problem. If your interested in running Snow leopard check out my guide. And check to make sure the DVD drive is set to master and not cable select or slave is probably a good idea.
