japperrrr
I downloaded ##### 2.6.3 and the original Snow Leopard and burned them to a DVD+R DL and a DVD+RW. While trying to start the installation of OS X I got an error telling me to restart my computer. I also tried to start the setup in safe-mode (-x method). It actually starts loading because I can hear the DVD drive working hard, but after 2 or 3 minutes I get the same screen as before, telling me to reboot. I saw one topic with a similar problem here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=12576 Can anyone help me? I have an HP G62-149WM with a Core i5 M 430. Liam-P6624
Have you tried booting with cpus=1? Also, my notebook has the i5 460m and in order for that to boot i have to type busratio=19 If i'm not mistaken you'll need to type busratio=17 for your chip. i'm a newbie here so i may be wrong, but hey, cant hurt to try! good luck Liam Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/247344-instant-kernel-panic-when-trying-to-start-setup/#findComment-1637697 Share on other sites
roflmao
Try booting with flags cpus=1 and arch=i386, try one at a time and then both together. What bootloader are you using? If you are using standard Chameleon try #####. ##### has good support for the new i5 line of processors by intel AFAIK. The busratio flag liam suggested above me is also something you should definitely try in combination with the flags I just sent you.
