ttp Posted February 9, 2011 Share Posted February 9, 2011 Hi! I would like to install macOsX86 (any hackintosh distro) on VirtualBox v4 on ubuntu 10.10 as host. Can anybody help me? Is it possible with VT-x disabled on BIOS? What are the correct boot options? I have tried almost all with no success. I have done all the combinations (I think) with the following flags: -v -x -f arch=i386 -x32 "Graphics Mode"="800x600x32" cpus=1 busratio=20/10/11/16 I have no idea why it is impossible to install a hackintosh distro on my laptop. My laptop is a Sony VAIO VGN-FE21, centrino duo processor with a Nvidia go 7600 128MB VRAM graphic card. Please, I would highly appreciate if anyone can suggest me an effective way to install with no crashes, black screens or kernel panics. If I install a distro in a physical partition without using virtualization it works. My problem is when doing virtualization. It only happens with macOSx86 (hackintosh) distros. The same kind of problem arises with hardware installs, and amended with DSDT's for the machine. Without being able to recognize the machine, OS X won't boot into safe mode. I wish I could be of more help. Sorry by my ignorance...what is DSDT? what can I do to OS X to boot and be able to recognize the machine? Any special parameters in virtual machine on VirtualBox? My virtual machine configuration is: OS: Mac OS X Version: Mac OS X Server 1024 MB RAM MEMORY Chipset: ICH9 IO APIC ENABLED EFI DISABLED PAE/NX ENABLED VT-x ENABLED OR DISABLED (I have tested two modes) 3D Aceleration 128 MB VIDEO SATA CONTROLLER AHCI TYPE: SNOW LEOPARD ISO ON SATA0 AND MyVM.vdi on SATA1 AUDIO ENABLED: PulseAudio / Intel HD Audio NETWORK ENABLED: BRIDGE WLAN0 / BRIDGE ETH0 (TWO NETWORKS) USB ENABLED WITH USB2.0 (EHCI) ENABLED Please, any help?
