SpRoX
Mjellow I have installed a vanilla Mac OS X 10.6 (I think it's called vanilla? ##### cd + retail 10.6 on usb drive) on my Asus X71Vn laptop, and after the installation almost all the hardware works (webcam doesn't, but I don't care). Specs for the laptop: Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 (3M Cache, 2.26 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB) 2x 2 GB DDR2 PC2-6400 80GB hard drive NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT, 1 GB ALC663 17,1" screen @ 1440x900 I might be doing this wrong but after installing the OS, I update using the 10.6.5-combo-update. When the system is rebooted sound and touchpad no longer works! I then use ##### to install bootloader after the 10.6.5 update and then install the 10.6.6-combo-update, and that is pretty much it... Now I can't really figure out how to get sound and touchpad back... SpRoX
I tried installing a VoodooHDA with ##### yesterday to get the audio working, but got a KP... Apparently the ALC663 is not that easy finding a kext for!?
