There is an Application on this Forum called "About This Mac"

What it does: It kind of reads the CPU-Tag directly from the CPU and injects it into a file for unknown CPUs.

So the Tag "unknown CPU" get overwritten with the name your CPU offers.

If this tool alone doesn't work for you, you need to use CPUInjector.kext and edit the

<dict>

<key>cpu-type</key>

<data>AQM=</data>

</dict>

I used AMD=, but it doesnt really matter what you type in there as long as it is an unsupported value.

So here are the links for the tools i used to change my CPU-Tag:

CPUInjector.kext

About This Mac

This is just a quick and dirty way to show the right CPU Tag, worked pretty good for my AMD Systems
