Shuricksoft
Hi everybody! After about two weeks I've finally installed Mac OS X (iATKOS v. 2, 10.6.3) onto my notebook HP nc6320 But I have the following strange situation. After it boots, I see the MacOS's environment but I can't do anything for 7 minutes (I measured ), no reaction to mouse or keyboard (though, caps lock LED on the keyboard responds to the caps lock key). If I don't use "Graphics Mode" option at boot, all this time I see just a blue screen without anything. After 7 minutes it starts to respond to my mouse and keyboard actions and the mentioned issue doesn't appear until the next reboot. Could anybody please help me? It's annoying to wait 7 minutes every time I boot, especially if I can't understand what's going on during that time (no even HDD activity). And one more little question (not sure if it worth a separate topic). During the work time with Mac OS X on my notebook, my DVD drive resets. I mean it works OK, but from time to time it makes the sound it makes on the powering on my notebook (the optical head returning to start position and the lens focusing, not sure about if the laser is powered during this procedure). This happens even without a disk inside. It's not so important as the first issue but kind of annoying too, so any help will be appreciated Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/247014-nc6320-with-1063-freezes-for-7-min-after-boot-and-then-ok/ Share on other sites
Shuricksoft
Well, I've got some updates. The system actually doesn't freeze: the clock shows the actual time. It just doesn't respond to any mouse or keyboard actions, showing the mouse cursor at the top left corner. After the mentioned time cursor appears in another place (moving) and the immovable cursor at the top left is still there until it has been covered by something. Any suggestions? Please, help.
