ozmend
I finally got the iso (10.4.6 JaS) to install on vmware 5... everything went smooth until I had to reboot. During the install I had to have disk utility format the logical partition for me so I could instal osx. I used the journaled option. Now VMWare 5 wont open the virtual drive because the table has been changed from FAT32 to hfs+. So I tried installing Acronis disk director which sees the other partition but is labeled "unknown OS". I try to boot from it and it just says "error boot hfs+". I would love to run this natively but if I have to settle with VMWare then so be it. I followed the instructions exactly as posted here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=11314 THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE... I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR A DAMN WEEK!!!!!!!! horst.schlemmer
Why dont you install it the native way without using Vmware? Worked fine for me here serveal times! ozmend
ah good question why didnt I leave that story?? Well I tried to install in natively but it hangs up with a "waiting for boot device" (string listed here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...#092;.4\.6 )and after trying many different things I just gave up and tried VM instead. I am wondering if there is a problem loading this on a logical partition? I just recently tried to use chain0 with no luck. It still says something about a hfs+ error.
