gcc1
I'm having great difficulty getting Albert's unlocker to work with Donk's script on my system in order to install Mac OS X in VMware player. I have a Sony laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. The bios has been patched so that VT-x is locked on. It has 1 drive with 2 partitions - C: system and D: logical which is used for data (my documents, application data, etc). I've installed WMware player 3.1.3 in it's default location (C:/ program files). I placed Alberts unlocker folder containing Donk's script in Windows/system 32 folder and ensured that VMware player is shut down including hqtray.exe. When I run Donk's windows.cmd script using the command prompt as administrator , it produces the following: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600] Copyright © 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. C:\Windows\System32\macosx_guest_vmware-7>windows.cmd VMware Mac OS X Patcher 1.0.0 ============================= Core=VMware Player InstallPath=C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Player\ VMXPath=C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Player\ UIPath=C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Player\vmwarebase.dll The VMware Authorization Service service was stopped successfully. The VMware USB Arbitration Service service was stopped successfully. Mac OS X guest unlocker for VMware, version 7 Usage: C:\Windows\System32\macosx_guest_vmware-7\windows_32.exe [<vmx dir> <ui p ath>] Where <vmx dir> defaults to C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Workstation and <ui path> defaults to C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Workstation\vmwarebase. dll The VMware Authorization Service service is starting. The VMware Authorization Service service was started successfully. The VMware USB Arbitration Service service is starting. The VMware USB Arbitration Service service was started successfully. C:\Windows\System32\macosx_guest_vmware-7> When I then try and create a new virtual machine in VMware player in accordance with Mac Son of Knife's excellent guide, there is no option to select Apple OS X as a guest operating system. If I continue with the installation, the Snow Leopard retail disc is not recognised and it would seem that running the unlocker is having no effect. Any help to get this working would be much appreciated. jfooobet
Might not solve your problem, but I got it working on plain VirtualBox, no modding needed. Have you tried this in cmd? net stop vmauthdservice windows_32.exe C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Player\ C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Player\vmwarebase.dll net start vmauthdservice Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246936-problem-installing-os-x-on-vmware-player-with-alberts-unlocker/#findComment-1686511 Share on other sites
