Hi!

I have a sony vaio VGN-FE21S laptop with VT-x processor but it is disabled in BIOS by default by sony. Is it possible to install any Hackintosh version on VirtualBox 4.0 without having enabled VT-x?

I have tested many Hackintosh versions (iatkos s3 v2, iatkos v7, ideneb, kalyway, ToH, hazard) but all hang at apple logo or even before apple logo appears with a black screen.

I have tried boot options: -v -x -f cpus=1 arch=i386 busratio=20 and other busratios 10, 11, 16 but it always hangs.

Also I have tried different bootloaders, but it doesn't work.

Could anyone help me to install a hackintosh version on my laptop?

My laptop configuration is:

Intel® Centrino® Duo Platform

Intel® 945PM chipset

Intel® Core™ Duo T2400 compatible with Enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology

2 GB RAM

160 GB HDD SATA

NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7600 WITH 128 MB VRAM

Thanks in advance.

try using these commands:

busratio=20 cpus=1 fsb=133 -v -f

I have tried what you say at boot options after pressing F8 but it doesn't work. I have made some combinations like:

busratio=20 cpus=1 fsb=133 -v -f

busratio=20 cpus=1 fsb=133 -v -f arch=i386

busratio=20 cpus=1 fsb=133 -v -f -x

busratio=20 cpus=1 fsb=133 -v -f -x arch=i386

but with no success. If I enable VT-x on VirtualBox v4.0 I get a kernel panic and If I disable VT-x I get a black screen before apple logo appears (In fact apple logo never appears). I attach here the kernel panic (See file attached).

I use Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 SSE2 SSE3 INTEL AMD BY HAZARD ISO

My host is UBUNTU 10.10

My VirtualBox v4.0 configuration for my Virtual Machine is:

OS: Mac OS X

Version: Mac OS X Server

1024 MB RAM MEMORY

Chipset: ICH9

IO APIC ENABLED

EFI DISABLED

PAE/NX ENABLED

VT-x ENABLED OR DISABLED (I have tested two modes)

3D Aceleration

128 MB VIDEO

SATA CONTROLLER AHCI TYPE: SNOW LEOPARD ISO ON SATA0 AND MyVM.vdi on SATA1

AUDIO ENABLED: PulseAudio / Intel HD Audio

NETWORK ENABLED: BRIDGE WLAN0 / BRIDGE ETH0 (TWO NETWORKS)

USB ENABLED WITH USB2.0 (EHCI) ENABLED
