iYantra_geek
Spec: PROCESSORS: INTEL CORE I7 950 - 3.07 GHZ MOTHERBOARD :INTEL - WX58BP; CHIPSET -X58 GRAPHIC ADAPTERS: NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400GS - 1GB SIZE MEMORY: DDR3 4GB -KINGSTON NETWORKING: INTEL® 82567LM-2 GIGABITE NETWORK CONNECTION OPTICAL DRIVERS: 1 TB SEAGATE HD and HL-DT ST DVDRAMGH22NS50 ATA DEVICE SOUNDCARD: REALTEK HD AUDIO After days of research, finally I was able install Hackintosh on my new pc. I have used 10.6 retail DVD for installation and used the installation method mentioned in the below link. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=185097 during first boot after installation, I have copied all the kexts(as mentioned in the guide) including NVEnabler.kext, NVinject.kext, or NVkush.kext etc to extensions folder and updated boot caches. However, during subsequent boots, all the initial scripts will run without any halts and gets stuck at Blue screen. Even now, I will be able to Safe boot (with -x) but a regular boot halts at blue screen. Since I have already used the Graphic card related kexts, I have gone clueless now. Can someone please help me with solution for this issue? Thanks in advance. RaymondBotha
Try installing OS X again, this time using a newer method like tonymacx86's ##### and ##### guide. dothacker
on ur video card. if you're using DVI, use the VGA or put a dvi to vga adapter on dvi port. jloco
I've had this issue creep up a few times with my machine. I had noticed the machine is running just fine, I can use screen sharing from my macbook to log-in and run the machine as I normally do. Usually a reboot fixes the issue for me. I'm not entirely sure, but it seems the display doesn't get initialized properly sometimes. Try updating Chameleon to the latest, make sure Graphics Enabler is on in your com.apple.Boot.plist, and you may also need to set PCIRoot=1 in that file. golliver
Usually a reboot fixes the issue for me.try just turning monitor off and on, without restarting the computer. for some reason when i try to change the resolution, i get blank blue screen. computer works, but i can't see anything. once i could see as if there was a blue semi transparent layer over the screen. eventually i found out that just turning monitor off and on again brings picture back. didn't have much time to play with it and find out what's really going on, but that will happen i believe soon as for topic starter: try starting osx with this switch: "graphics mode"="1024x768x32" also, try what i said about the monitor, and see if that helps. if you put pciroot=1, and your graphics card is in slot 0, you won't be able to boot at all, so don't change that. it obviously sees your card, but for some reason doesn't initialize it completely correctly. you get the resolution right, but don't know the rest. cheers Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246846-blue-screen-issue-after-intital-boot-up/#findComment-1636241 Share on other sites
iYantra_geek
Thanks for all your replies. Unfortunately, I am out of town for most part of this week. iYantra_geek
"Graphics mode"= "1024x768x32", Monitor turn on n off didn't do anything better. Graphics enabler is already on in com.apple.boot.plist. I have not tried pciroot=1 based on golliver's suggestion. I don't have a VGA to DVI Adapter. Have ordered for one. Once I get that will test the same and post the results. In the mean time, please let me know if there are anything else to try. Finally if nothing works out I will go ahead with re installation as per RaymondBotha Thanks to you all.
