davidjmccollum
Hey everyone, been working on this install for about a week now. I have calibrated touch (though not multi), wifi, bluetooth (via ext dongle), sound (without volume control, but mute button works), and graphics working. I used Ideneb 1.5.1 to install OSX version 10.5.7. I am loving it so far. I just upgraded to 8 gb of ram because Windows 7 needs it. during the install I discovered that I could boot to the install disk with 4gb ram but not with 8gb ram. I thought I would get it installed and then I could pop in the other 4gb stick and all would be fine. Not so. I usually get a spinning boot screen sometimes it goes blue or black. pop out the 2nd 4gb stick and it boots up perfectly. I am running OSX with the qoopz 9.7.0 kernel. it seems that the whole system is 32-bit even though Win7 is 64-bit so I know my computer will do 64 bit. thetoster
please correct me if im wrong but leopard is a 32-bit only OS which means that it can only address 4gb of ram. Snow Leopard on the other hand is a hybrid 64-bit/32-bit os. So you might want to try that if you want to use all 8gb of ram. RaymondBotha
Snow Leopard should work much better, but Leopard is capable of addressing more than 4GB of RAM. Try to keep the install as vanilla as possible.
