oops_ur_dead
I've got a retail install of OS X 10.6.6, using the 10.6 legacy kernel for AMD compatibility. I've got several problems with the installation: 1) Random-ish kernel panics. The strange thing about the panics is that when they happen, I can still move the mouse cursor, and I can move it overtop the text in the panic. 2) System-wide instability and slow-ness. One example is with Skype: it always crashes within a few seconds of starting up. The crash log shows this error: Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGFPE) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000 My boot flags are "arch=i386 -force64 maxmem=3072". My extensions in /E/E are; AHCIPortInjector, FakeSMC, IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector, IOATAFamily, IONetworkingFamily, NullCPUPowerManagement, and SleepEnabler. It would be greatly appreciated if you could at least guide me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

When I start skype, it simply crashes a few seconds in. Also, Source games (Half Life 2, Portal) seem to crash when a video is about to load. Trine crashes when a video starts as well, right after it finishes at the loading screen. I feel like it's related to Quicktime, but I don't know for sure. Any ideas? quadomatic
Can someone post their QuickTimeComponents binary file from their QuicktimeComponents.component package?
