WarlockLord
I'm trying to install hazard on an Asus P5P43TDUSB3 with a Q8400 CPU and an EN8400GS Silent Video Card. I've got through the install by disabling USB3 and APIC in the BIOS. After rebooting, if I don't re-enable APIC I get nowhere. Re-enabling APIC gets me most of the way through the boot process but eventually gets to a kernel panic calling out ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin failed to set c-state demotion data Searching this comes back a lot of options but I don't know how to make heads or tales out of what to try or not try. Can someone point me in the right direction? The only options I selected in the install per the P5P43TD Pro install guide was 10.6.2 update, NVEnabler kext, and PC EFI 10.3. There were BIOS options posted at one time in the old guide, but the link to the images are no longer valid Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246660-sl-on-p5p43td-usb3/ Share on other sites
WarlockLord
Love the forum help... for anyone else that has this problem, here's what I did: After installing, reboot in single user mode and rm -r AppleTyMCE.kext from /System/Library/Extensions Reboot Go through initial setup of user name and such Reboot in safe mode (-x) Install 10.6.6 combo update from a flash drive or something (Not software update) After install completes, do NOT reboot, open finder and again delete AppleTyMCE.kext AND SleepEnabler.kext from /System/Library/Extensions Reboot Enjoy OSX Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246660-sl-on-p5p43td-usb3/#findComment-1635881 Share on other sites
