Paintboi Posted February 5, 2011 Share Posted February 5, 2011 Okay, so I have a new Acer 5742Z-4685, and I've already got SL 10.6.3 installed and booting properly. I need help getting the system to recognize my graphics card: Intel HD Graphics Vendor: 8086 Device: 0046 and my wireless network card: Atheros AR9287 Vendor: 168c Device: 002e I've tried AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext and AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext, but FB causes boot to hang at "DSMOS has arrived." Installing just AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext makes it boot fine, but i don't think the system is seeing it (It says "No kext loaded" in System Profiler under kernel extension info and I can't change the resolution). As for the wireless, I've tried AtherosFix.kext, but that caused a kernel panic on boot. I couldn't find much else... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
