Hello, I have 10.6.6 installed and since 10.6.4 osx randomly crash at boot.

I reset computer (P5Q deluxe) and sometimes he boot correctly.

I don't know why ! I don't understand the error Panic CPU 1 caller...

Freeze also sometimes if I boot "-v -f"

No problem in safemode ( -v -f -x)

Thanks

Hi i'm here with the same problem.

Sometimes the boot happens, sometimes not.

my setup is a motherboard: DX58SO2, 990x i7 processor, video card Radeon HD 5870, 16 Gb of ram.

I had to install Snow Leopard Retail DVD with the old #####: ##### ATI 5xxx

The current lock before entering the installer ... But well, I installed and everything seems to work perfectly, but ... I'm having problems when I turn on or reset the machine, sometimes the kernel panic, sometimes does not start, sometimes stops at a black screen with only one in the lower right 0_. And sometimes goes normally.

My question is how to solve round to boot ... I noticed the permissions and I used the Kext Utility ... Anyway do not know much else to do ... My fear is to stick one of these and can not get more ... Lion was trying to install and when the pc was booting the partition that gave the Installer Kernel Panic. Anyway I'm confused, because with this new ##### does not work, but rather with the old ...

I did the procedure ##### ATI 5xxx ##### + 3.8 with the Chimera.

I used Auto-Patcher DSDT and used the custom DSDT. My BIOS is updated. I just installed some audio kexts and disk kexts and 32 bit boot. with the #####. Audio RLC and Apple (the two first options).

Well everything is working fine, i'm just with the boot problem...

Has some light on this inconstancy in boot?

Its attached my folders from EXTRA and my boot files. i'm runnig 32 bit, should i set to 64?

Thanks!

Just updating: when I boot the snow leopard I have to disconnect and reconnect my monitor to work. But at system configuration is showing the right configuration Radeon HD5800.

And still apears the black screen with a 0_ at the right side down at the boot, sometimes. And I have to turn off and try again.

Someone can help?! Just an idea, please!

Thanks!
