Chrisj7 Posted February 3, 2011 Share Posted February 3, 2011 First off my specs are: HP G62-367dx 15 inch (1366x768) Notebook Amd 785GX Mobo, Southbridge is AMD SB800 (if it matters) - I also updated, and flashed my bios to F.23 Amd Turion N530 2.5ghz Dual-Core SSE 1,2,3,4a x86,x64 Amd m880g chipset ATI Mobility Radeon 4250 (256mb dedicated, 1900 something shared) PCI Atheros 9285 wifi adapter now on to the problem, i have tried Hazard 10.6.2, Iatkos S3v2, Kalyway 10.5.2 (amd/intel), and iatkos v7... The only one i have been able to boot (installation dvd boot, not after installation), is iatkos v7. Other dvd's load the beggining kernels i believe then sit at a blank (bluish, but black) screen. I've sucessfuly installed iatkos v7 and booted into it. I cannot change the sata controller mode in my bios, even though i have updated it. So that's not an option for me. Any recommendations for a distro, or solutions to booting the other distro's?
