macamba
Hi, I installed iDeneb OSX86 v10.5.7 on VirtualBox on my Windows XP machine (AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+, with 4G internal memory). I made the following choices in the Mac OS X Installer: iDeneb Essential System iDeneb Patches 10.5.7 Ready: LoepardAMD Kernel 9.7.0 Qoopz (and once with 9.6.0 AnV) Video ATI This resulted in a running Mac OS. I could start everything, and browse the internet using Safari. So for me that's an installation that succeeded. But after a few minutes I got offered a change to upgrade my installation. And that upgrade resulted in boot that went not further then the grey screen with the silver apple in the middle. A -v boot resulted in: Loaded HFS+ file: [System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist] 478 bytes from 4239600.
Loading Darwin 10.5 Loading kernel mach_kernel Loaded HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] 4096 bytes from 4239600. Loaded HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] 5072564 bytes from 4239600. LoadDrivers: Loading from [/System/Library/Extensions.mkext] Loaded HFS+ file: [/System/Library/Extensions.mkext] 4096 bytes from 4239600. Loaded HFS+ file: [/System/Library/Extensions.mkext] 4740675 bytes from 4239600. efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata Patched DMI Table. No DSDT replacement found. Leaving ACPI data as is Starting Darwin x86
And after that, nothing ... Do you know what I can do to start working with Snow Leopard? TIA, Macamba Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/246238-amd-install-does-not-start-up-after-upgrade/ Share on other sites
