bob78h
Hi, I'm trying to install vanilla Snow Leo using a PS2 keyboard and USB mouse. What would be the best kext to enable this combination and which directory do I add it to on the install dvd? I know this is a common issue, and I don't have access to a USB keyboard right now. Thanks.
Mac Boy
I was not able to install with that combo, so I used a USB KB for the install part only. Then before rebooting and with the USB KB still attached, I added VoodooPS2Controller.kext. Make sure you delete VoodooPS2Mouse.kext and VoodooPS2Trackpad.kext, which are in VoodooPS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns. Now remove the USB KB, insert the PS2 KB, and reboot -- don't forget to rebuild your extensions. This is the only way I was able to use a PS2 KB and a USB Mouse with snow. --- If you can't borrow a USB KB, then you need to inject the kext -- and this all depends on what you are using to install.
