FrostedButts
I have an HP dv6108nr, and multiple times a day (seems to be after it comes back from the screensaver) the audio will get very choppy or distorted. The only way I can get it back to normal is by doing: sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext But I want a permanent fix; this drives me crazy. These are my laptop's spec.s if needed: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documen...product=3253922 Let me know if you need any other info. scififan68
Did you try and change the audio from 24bit to 16bit in audio midi setup, that fixes the distortion for me. FrostedButts
Sometimes that works, when the it mysteriously changes to 16 bit, but other times its at 24bit and is still distorted, and changing it wont fix it. If it does fix it, it will change itself back later. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/245871-distorted-audio/#findComment-1632628 Share on other sites
