Hi Experts

I am newbie to OSx86 and I have just managed to install Kalyway 10.5.1 successfully on my Dell Dimension 3100.

The Mac OS works fine so far, but I need to upgrade to 10.6.4 as I would like to instal iOS SDK 4.2 software and learn the application development.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

There's no upgrade path, you are essentially dealing with two different operating systems:

OS X 10.5.x = Leopard

OS X 10.6.x = Snow Leopard

If you want Snow Leopard you will have to start from scratch, but you might want to leave Leopard installed and put Snow on a separate hard drive or partition...

This may be of some help:

Thanks for your update.

Thanks.

I have now managed to install 10.6.3 iATKOS S3 version 2 sucessfully on the desktop but I did it before reading your reply, therefore i did not use all patches listed.

Should re-install OS X again with all the patches or I can add the missed patches. Please advise?

Also, I would also like to update from 10.6.3 to 10.6.4 as i need to install iOS SDK 4.2

Any help will be highly appreciated?

Kind Regards

Bhavesh
