I updated to 10.6.6 a few days ago, and i lost all graphics acceleration... no graphic effects, no screensaver, and a crappy resolution 1024x768 (horrible on a FullHD screen)... I try reinstalling nvidia quadro drivers, nothing... the tonymacx86 driver does nothing too...

THIS IS HOW TO INSTALL IT :

1. Go System/Library/Extensions, then search for all kexts with the name NV...... (example : NVGF100Hal.kext) and DELETE them all.

2. Download official NVidia Quadro driver http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce-macos...f03-driver.html , then install it.

3. (i think it will work without that... but try it too) Right click on "NVIDIA Retail Mac Driver 256.01.00f03.mpkg" (maybe you will have a new version with a different name), then click on "Show packet contents" (i dont know exactly how it is called in english, i'm french and i use a french Mac.) It will show you a folder "Contents", open it, then open the "Packages" folder, and install the 3 packages "Display Driver, OpenGL Driver, Video Driver". Reboot and it is normally working. :)
