I have the same Mobo, SATA HDD and DVD drive. 7300GT card. 2GB ram.

 

I had a great stable setup running at 10.5.4 and recently bought a 1TB drive to try and do the guide above.

 

I wasn't able to update to 10.6.4 because I got a blue screen (possibly due to my GFX card not being supported for 64bit in that update). Also, I don't think my wifi card would have worked from what I've read from others.

 

I'm happy in 10.6.0. I have the

 

Everything seems to work fine, I'm running a memtest now.

 

Anyway, my problem is when I open up System Preferences and minimize it, I get a screen comes up telling me there is something wrong with my computer and to hold the power button down.

 

I've tried changing the genie effect to the scale down one and it does the same thing.

 

This doesn't seem to happen with any other app that I minimise.

 

It once did it when I closed the Sys Pref window but not again.

 

I tried unplugging my other SATA HDD to see if it helped but it's still the same.

 

I'm reluctant to start using this drive and wipe my other working 10.5.4 drive (which seems to work fine with these new bios settings for some reason)

 

Any ideas?
