akasurreal
I have finally gotten my system working perfectly except for one thing. I have a second video card I use to run a 3rd monitor in Win7, and I would love to be able to do the same in OSX. The problem is that for some reason it doesn't seem to detect a monitor plugged into it. I attached a screenshot from profiler of both video cards below. I have seen others get triple monitors to work, so I know it is possible but have no idea why mine isn't working. I noticed the VRAM info is wrong on the second card too. I also tried using an 8800GT as my second card and got the same results. Full System Specs for reference: ASUS P6X58D Premium Core i7-930 2.8GHz EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (primary vid card) Asus GeForce 8400 GS (second vid card) 6GB RAM @ 1600MHz OCZ Vertex SSD 128GB Thanks! akasurreal
what was your procedure? did each work single in the slot it should work later on? if yes - did you notice the according pci root? I am not sure if I understand your question. My exact current hardware configuration does work in my Win7 boot right now if that's what you mean. When setting up OSX, I originally started with only the 460 plugged in, and had to boot/install using PCIRootUID=1, but after the install was complete I took that out, and that is how I got my 460 to work. Not sure if I am answering your question? akasurreal
I figured this out by going here: http://aquamac.proboards.com/index.cgi?boa...&thread=569 I did have to move my second video card to a different slot as well, which was the final piece of the puzzle. Works great now! Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/245376-triple-monitors-with-two-nvidia-cards/#findComment-1630818 Share on other sites
