Ok guys...

Finally Get my Vostro 3300 Working...

The official guide doesn't work for me...

So...

1. Install SL 10.6.4 Original DVD from a friend of mine =), using VostroiBootCD from the original guide of vostros

2. Boot again with ##### and choose MacOSX as I called my harddisk.

3. Connect Cable LAN and Update everything but Not the combo update.

4. reboot and install #####, only driver eSATA, RTL1000, BootLoader Chameleon 2 Rc5, OSXTools(all), fakesmc, NullPower and #####.Don'tReboot

5. Install Combo update 10.6.6 and now reboot.

6. Install VoodooHDA from google code.

Now I have LAN, Webcam, Integrated Keyboard/Mousepad, Bluetooth.

The only think doesn't work yet is my USB ports and my wireless which has a chipset BCM 4353

BTW my Laptop is a Intel Core I5, Nvidia 310M 512M, 4 GB Ram, and 500 Gb HD.

any comment about wireless and usb ports will be really appreciated.

Rgds.

congrats - so do you have intel/nvidia hybrid & you found a workaround? or you're intel only?

i'm with a hybrid, and growing gray hairs. DIY vidock -thread on notebookforums gives me some hope that perhaps the intel video could be taken out before the OS boots.

but i can't get it to do its thing. basically posting here in the hopes that someone more knowledgeable would give it a go & report back.

would post on the 3xxx thread, but for some reasong the forum doesn't let me, though i've posted in the general threads before
