HI.guys im having problem with my sleep mode..when my computer goto sleep.and i click and keys on my keyboard or mouse it doesnt wakeup, even i push the power botton..please help..it took me 1 week to finish my hackintosh, now i want it all features fully function..

 

HARDWARE: asus p5kc bios upgraded to p5kr

CPU: core 2 dual

RAM:2gb

OS: snow leopard 10.6.6

your videocard? it should be the problem.. have you a dsdt in extra? see method _wak for sleep in dsdt if you have. googl for answers :)

You need to patch your DSDT. Use DSDT Autopatcher -search this forum-

Once you put dsdt.aml on root or extra (put in both) you can use Chameleon RC5 for native power Management or use sleepEnabler.kext -search in kexts.com-

Has your card CE/QI enabled? Perhaps you need EFI String to make it work or use Natit.kext.

sleep doesn't Need QE/CI. It need only res change, so the right ramebufer

i did not even do anything yet.. i just tried to enable sleepmode and when i came back from work i move the mouse and computer turned on..but i could not click anything..so i power botton the pc(restart)..and video card driver is not loaded? (resolution is 1280X800) which is regular with out driver..and also cant click anything..after that i goto safe mode and intall graphics card kext.,..and also system utilities is selected,,after it done i restarted it..and no more hack i was able to click icons..BUT VIDEO CARD STILL NOT WORKING RIGHT??

have you the translucient mac-bar or it is just grey.. I mean can you see the image desktop behind him? If yes your card is working properly. you can change your resolution? anyway, I believe you need to add an efi string in your com.apple.boot.plist.

for the efi string you can download efi-studio 1.0.

I suggest to install chameleon rc5 the last release (v699 I guess) not for the videocard, but for a better support.
