HTPC using SL

Hi,

 

I'm trying to build an HTPC that runs snow leopard rather than win 7. i'm new to all this but i've read about [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and all that and have tried following instructions from lifehacker, but i seem to always get stuck after i insert the SL dvd. it never gets past the grey apple logo screen.

 

this is the stuff i have to make it:

 

1. ZOTAC IONITX-A-U motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813500027)

2. Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136514)

3. 2 gig ram

4. blu ray drive.

 

i set the bios to ahci and changed the power to s3 and booted from cd like the instructions tell me to do. can someone tell me what im' doing wrong or if it is even possible to make it with my components? if you need more info, please let me know.
