chatty
Hello I was wondering if anybody would know if Snow Leopard is compatible with this notebook? Its at a good price in the UK at the moment and I would buy it if I knew OSX was compatible with it! Heres a link to the specs of it: eMachines EME442 Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance Very bad choice. If you want a chance of running OS X you must buy Intel + Nvidia. Thanks in advance This processor is an AMD rather than an Intel - which makes it more difficult to get running properly. Apple recently began using Intel processors in their computers, which led to the entire OSx86 scene. Apple has NOT made any computers specifically for AMD processors, which makes running Mac OS X on these processors significantly tougher. That being said, there are custom builds (iDeneb, iAtkos, etc.) of Mac OS X that allow it to run on AMD processors - but you may run into more problems than you would like to deal with. It IS possible to do though, so if you are willing to put in the work you can have SL running on this machine. Good luck! chatty
Thanks for your replies. I know it being an AMD wasn't the best choice in the world but its at a very good price! So other than the processor everything else seems compatible?
