Yunalesca
I downloaded the file tiger-x86-flat.img to install it by the program DD on e: partition.I followed this guide as much as I can http://osxx86.orgfree.com/installguide.htm First time I tried to boot through the dd program and the copying process started my computer crushed and I had to format it and install Windows from scratch and all my files are gone. Now my problem is when I lunch the software command on cmd this message "dd if=tiger-x86-flat.img of=\\?\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2 bs=512 skip=63 --progress" it gives me error message telling : "Error native opening file: 0 The operation completed successfully" I have only one hard drive and partitioned to C and E and I extracted the image file into the e:\ directory so what is you suggestion guys Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/24466-using-dd-to-install-tiger-1046-as-img-problem/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
If you are installing OSX to the e:\ drive, then I think the image file and the "dd" command need to be in a directory on the c:\ drive and the c:\ drive needs to be formated as NTFS to handle the size of the image file.
